    Now Hiring - Corporate Staff Accountant - Cranford, NJ


    Hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm - extra hours as required 


    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for, but are not limited to:

    1. Ensures AP transactions are coded properly.
    2. Ensures monthly accruals are properly booked, and reversed.
    3. Ensures transactions are properly booked in the month they are incurred.
    4. Assist with month end and year end close.
    5. Prepares monthly financial reporting package, and other monthly reports.
    6. Performs financial analysis.
    7. Reconciles Room and Board transactions with billing, and AP.
    8. Reconcile balance sheet and reserve accounts monthly.
    9. Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger in Oracle and reconcile with general ledger monthly.
    10. Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and account receivable.
    11. Handle all banking transactions, including deposits.
    12. Perform financial calculations such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal.
    13. Assist in billing department as needed.
    14. Perform other duties as needed.



    Bachelors Degree in a related field


    Professional Experience:

    • 3+ years' experience as a Staff Accountant or in public accounting
    • Expertise in Financial Accounting and financial reporting
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
    • Strong attention to detail required
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Experience handling large volume of data
    • Able to work under tight deadlines and maintain accuracy
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel (Pivot tables & VLOOKUPS) & PowerPoint
    • Experience using Oracle/HFM (preferred)
