Now Hiring - Clinical Quality Educator - Mid Atlantic to Northeast


The Clinical Quality Educator, will be responsible for but not limited to:


  1. Performs a variety of educational, training, and consultation duties in support of clinical operations within areas of expertise
  2. Collaborates with Executive Directors, Clinical Directors, clinical teams, and organizational leadership to implement effective educational programs
  3. Plans, develops, executes and evaluates clinical education programs based on audit findings, survey results, and identified agency needs
  4. Coordinates, monitors and researches a variety of training materials, programs and projects
  5. Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
  6. Responds promptly to detected concerns, developing corrective action, and reporting findings
  7. Plans and develops new employee orientation; continually develops orientation process to meet organizational needs
  8. Works one-on-one with employees who have special training needs
  9. Supports business development relating to clinical education needs
  10. Keeps current related to the trends, developments, studies and reports relevant to hospice clinical education to properly plan and develop future clinical education programs/events, i.e., attendance at meetings, lectures or conferences
  11. Provides written reports to the Vice President of Clinical Services with the summary details of the Education and Orientation programs to be shared during Governing Body Meetings
  12. Performs a variety of educational, training and consultation duties in support of Ascend Hospice’s QAPI Program
  13. Collaborates with Executive Directors, Clinical Directors, clinical teams, and organizational leadership with respect to each agency’s QAPI program.
  14. Develops and shares best practices with each agency’s QAPI Committee in order to promote clinical excellence and positive outcomes across the organization.
  15. Monitors and provides feedback with individual Performance Improvement Plans and ensures that clinical and quality data gathered during the auditing process are addressed within the QAPI program.
  16. Provides written reports to the Vice President of Clinical Services with the details of the QAPI programs in each agency to be shared during Governing Body Meetings



Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred


Professional Experience:

  • RN License within the state of operations
  • Certifications in Hollistic Nursing/Complementary therapies or Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care, a plus
  • 6-8 years of experience in hospice clinical care
  • Expertise in the development of creative clinical education programs including “stand up” classroom delivery skills
  • Understanding of complementary/alternative therapies and holistic nursing principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Proficiency in MS Windows computer skills
  • Clinical background with ability to concentrate and work independently much of the time
  • Demonstrated ability in performance improvement process.
